Church Boards

The Church Council consists of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Financial Treasurer. These positions are all one year terms – up to two years.

~~ The Board of Elders oversees the spiritual life of the church. Acting as assistants to the pastor, Elders can also stand in for him when he is unavailable. They supervise church services in coordinating the music leaders, readers, ushers and acolytes. Members of this board must be men.

~~The School Board for Prince of Peace Lutheran School directs the operation of the school.

~~The Board of Discipleship coordinates our outreach in the community as wee seek to share the Good News of Christ, directs, encourages and coordinates Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, youth activities and adult education programs at the church.

~~The Board of Stewardship enlists and encourages the talents and resources of the congregation. Members of this board oversee financial matters, including counting the offerings, working with the Treasurer, and encouraging pledges.

~~The Board of Trustees maintains of all the church properties, equipment, records, and insurance falls under the direction of the Trustees.

~~The Board of Tender Loving Care oversees most of the activities related to the care of the congregation; Parish Nurse Ministry also falls under this board. This board also serves the needs of individuals with the organization of events like funerals/memorials and weddings.
